The second round of the CIK FIA European Championship held at Genk (B) has been very intense for the Birel ART Junior drivers Rafa Camara and Lorenzo Ressico D’Aloisio. Both the OKJ’s drivers had to fight against the bad luck in their qualifying sessions, as the wheater was very changing penalizing them more then expected. Scoring the 13th (Ressico) and 17th (Camara) best lap, they were forced to start from the back of the grid every heats being able, anyway, to make some great comebacks. The italian performed very well in each heats (19 7 10 11 16) and as well the brazilian team mate Camara (9 6 11 8 9): both of them have had a very quick pace being able to fight against a very aggressive pack of competitors. In the Final Ressico started 33th and Camara 15th. The italian make a very brave comeback ending 21st and the brazilian kept the same starting position until the chequered flag. Both of them proved a very high pace during the whole week end but unfortunately the bad qualifying sessions have affected too much their later performances, especially in such competitive serie sas the CIK FIA European Championship. In the OK category the new entry Artamonov started his new adventure in the category with some good results. 9th in his qualifying session, in the heats the russian scored 11th, 20th, 23th and twice 18th: taking too many penalties in the heats he missed the access to the Final but he will come back next round with ore experience. Next CIK FIA event will be in Kristianstadt at the beginnig of June
