UNLUCKY WINTER CUP FOR RESSICO D’ALOISIO AND BIREL ART JUNIOR.
With more then 300 entries the 24th edition of the Winter Cupa t Lonato has been, this week end, one of the most spectacular event of the season so far. Birel Art Junior guys, Rafa Camara and Lorenzo Ressico D’Aloisio, has challenged the OKJ competitors in a very long racing week end. For the Brazilian the week end started in a bad way as he had to give up driving pretty soon for an muscular inflammation whe forced him to stop competing looking forward now the upcoming WSK Super Master Series (next week end at Lonato) in which he his leading the pack in the OKJ category standing. For the italian Ressico D’Aloisio the week end was very great since the beginning: 2nd in his qualy, the Birel ART Junior driver kept the pace in the heats too ending 11th, 5th, 7th and 3rd overall. In the Pre Final he was still on pace with the leading guys taking the chequered flag 6th. Started 11th in the Final the tuscanian was fighting for the top ten position when a racing contact broke down his chain forcing him to end the race after 8 laps. Despite the bad luck all the team was happy at the end of the event for the overall performances shown against such crowded list of competitors. Next week the italian team will attend the second round of the WSK Super Master Series at Lonato (BS).
