GOOD PACE FOR THE BIREL ART JUNIOR DRIVER IN THE WSK CHAMPIONS CUP.
The 2019 racing season has started last week end at Adria. Birel ART junior Team has attended the first round of the WSK series (Champions Cup) entring 4 drivers in two categories.
In the Mini 60 category Francesco Amendola has been very fast during the qualyfing setting the 2nd time overall and performing very well in the heats too but suffering a technical problem during one of them.
For that he has to start in the Pre Final from the 11th row of the grid finishing only 19th (out of the Final) due to some hard fights on track. For the “rookie” dutch Keeren Thijs this event was a sort of “racing training” to collect as much experience as possible in a very hi level racing enviroment.
In the OKJ category the brazilian Camara had to give up is week end very soon due to some hard pain on his ribs and Ressico D’Aloisio, after a TOP 10 result in the Pre Final (8th) had to retire for an accident against Trulli in the Final.
However Birel Art Team showed a very good pace overall and is now ready to be back on track newxt week end, still at Adria, for the new WSK event : Round 1 WSK Super Master Series.
