It has been a difficult week end the one just ended at the Ugento kartdrome during the last round of the ACI Karting Championship. None of the three Birel ART Junior drivers Andrea Filaferro, Andrea Frassineti and Francesco Amendola has found the right pace expected along the whole week end.

The challenging track of Ugento is definately one of the most trickiest of the italian series calendar and the three drivers were not able to keep a good pace in every heats.

Filaferro was anyway the best performer of the team but he was very unlucky in Race 2 in which he was victim of a racing contact which has kicked him back in the race standing.

The rest of the week end was not bad for him with a constant TOP 10 score of the Mini category and the 6th place in the championship final standing. Frassineti struggled a bit more the expected this week end not being in perfect shape after a serious crash at the beginning of the event which has effected his later performance during the heats. His best week end result has been 12th in one of the the heats.

For the youngest driver of the team Francesco Amendola Ugento was a week end to forget as quick as possible because he didn’t get the right pace end his scored results did not fit to his usual performances.
